At the roots of who we are
Vingko is a portmanteau of vine and ginkgo, which is also called arbre aux 40 écus (‘tree of 40 crowns’) due to the great sum that an 18th-century French botanist paid to bring the specimens from China. These trees still stand tall today, from Montpellier’s botanical garden to Paris’s Parc Monceau. The restaurant’s wall of plants, one of a kind in La Défense, recalls our passion for fine wines.
