Mevlüt Özkaya

Mevlüt Özkaya, who has been serving as the Chef de Cuisine at Mürver since 2021, passionately leads the kitchen team while maintaining his culinary passion by focusing on the offerings of the sea and land throughout every season. With his unique and meticulous cooking style, the chef was honored with the Young Chef award from the MICHELIN Guide in 2023 and the Rising Chef award from Gault&Millau in 2024.

An open kitchen and a fire wall suitable for many techniques as well as an ever-burning stone oven enables Mevlüt Chef to reinterpret the live fire tradition with an innovative approach, the specially designed chef's bench made from Nero Picasso marble offers guests a unique experience accompanied by special dishes in the warmth of a live fire.

Both the food and the excellent cocktails are tasted discreetly but also creatively, which we personally really liked. We were served by a nice young woman who was super professional but also authentically friendly, so we felt very comfortable. We paid well over 100 euros per person - you also pay for the view.

Sowohl das Essen als auch die hervorragenden Cocktails sind eher dezent aber auch kreativ abgeschmeckt, was uns persönlich sehr gefallen hat. Wir wurden von einer netten jungen Frau bedient, die gleichzeitig super professionell war aber auch authentisch sympathisch, sodass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Wir haben pro Person deutlich über 100 Euro bezahlt - da zahlt man doch auch die Aussicht mit.

We started with the much praised duck topik and dried tzatziki. As the main course, we chose curly lamb.

    I didn't get the tremendous flavor explosion I expected from the duck tonic, but it had an average taste and had a pleasant consistency and presentation. The dried tzatziki and the cheese and hot sourdough bread served at the beginning gave that flavor explosion, it was really nice. The consistency and sourness of the yoghurt in the tzatziki is wonderful.

    As for the lamb, for which I had very high expectations, the lamb was below my expectations. I have eaten much better lamb. I was expecting to taste the perfect one here, but it was not exactly like that. Normally, my wife cannot eat lamb meat directly. She first checked its smell and then said that it smelled bad and she could not eat it. There was no smell for me, I could eat it, but as I said, I couldn't find the perfect one. (What I'm saying is because I came here with high expectations, otherwise it is a very high quality and delicious meal.) The sauce covered on the outside was delicious. The firik pilaf served in a log on the side also went well with the lamb.

    Finally, we chose burnt pistachio for dessert, it was perfect and it was much more than my expectations.

    There was a slight timing mistake in the food service; the main course arrived before our starters were finished and disappeared from the table before our starters were finished. Apart from that, we did not encounter any problems.

    It's a place I can definitely recommend for special occasions and dinners. A place I would like to go to again.

    Ördek topikten beklediğim muazzam lezzet patlamasını alamadım ortalama bir lezzeti vardı kıvamı ve sunumu hoştu. Kuru cacık ve başlangıçta sunulan peynir ve sıcak ekşi mayalı ekmek ise o lezzet patlamasını yaşattı gerçekten güzeldi. Cacıktaki yoğurdun kıvamı ve ekşiliği harika.

    Beklentimin çok yüksek olduğu kuzuya gelirsek kuzu benim beklentimin altında kaldı çok daha iyi kuzular yedim mükemmeli burda tatmayı bekliyordum fakat tam olarak öyle olamadı.
