My recent dining experience at Royale, located in Mercure Singapore Bugis, was a delightful affair amidst its classy design, exuding a bright and calming atmosphere.
We began our culinary journey with the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Shank. Initially, the lamb shank and buttery mashed potato seemed bland on their own. However, when paired with the zesty spiced tomato fondue, the dish transformed into a chef's recommendation masterpiece. The tenderness of the lamb shank, effortlessly falling off the bone, was a testament to the chef's skill, elevating the dish to new heights.
Moving on to the 150 Days Augus (I'm pretty sure it's Angus, but the menu states Augus) Ribeye Steak Frites, the thick and generously portioned steak was a sight to behold. While the steak showcased a mix of cooking styles - some parts medium rare, others medium - the peri peri butter, combined with the steak's natural fats, created a delightful combination. Although, it would have been enhanced further with additional sauces to complement the steak.
For dessert, we indulged in the Churros, which were soft and chewy, paired perfectly with strawberries and blueberries. Accompanied by two sauces - a chilled, subtly sweet vanilla bean sauce, and a warm, sweet yet salted, salted caramel - the churros were a pleasure to the palate, providing a delightful end to our meal.
While the culinary journey was impressive, the service had its moments. It took a while for our server, Aaron, to notice we were ready to order, but his attentive gesture of rushing over once he realized our wait was appreciated. However, a minor hiccup occurred when a female trainee inquired about clearing our plates prematurely, not observing that my girlfriend was still savoring her meal. This oversight left a slight tarnish on an otherwise enjoyable evening.
Post-dinner, we ventured to the bar, where we were warmly greeted by Ryan and engaged in pleasant conversation. Although I couldn't indulge in drinks due to driving, the friendly atmosphere and engaging staff convinced me to return, ensuring I'll be back to relax and enjoy some drinks while chatting away with the amiable staff.
In conclusion, Royale offers a dining experience that is as tasteful as its ambiance. Despite minor service hiccups, the culinary offerings and the warm, engaging staff, particularly Aaron and Ryan, make it a place worth revisiting. I look forward to my next visit, eager to explore more of what Royale has to offer.

We had the afternoon tea. There is a uob promo. It was sumptuous for 2 pax. The matcha cheesecake was rich. Sugarcane prawns were fresh and crispy. Thanks lovely Ms Ember - she remembered my Mum was having her bday and there was a lil dessert arrangement. Warm service from Ms Fiona.

Food was above average except for the baby back ribs which was tough. The truffle carbonara was nice but more like a truffle pasta than a carbonara. Pulled pork burger was a bit too sweet and not that tender as expected of pulled pork. Fries that came with the mains were excellent.
We asked for mayonnaise and the cap of the bottle was left inside the sauce (last picture). We got the waiter to change for us.
Minus two stars because the male manager of the restaurant has very bad service. He was grouchy and rude. There was no service with a smile.
We used the Accor Plus 50% off voucher and spent $82 for six mains.
