French for "Roots", Racines boasts an informal culinary experience featuring innovative renditions of traditional recipes from France and local culture. Savour handcrafted dishes showcasing authentic tastes and techniques using the freshest sustainable produce and finest seasonal products.
Variety and quality of food pales in comparison compared to other equivalent high end hotel buffets, and even more so disappointing considering that the price is a notch higher at $128++ (ritz Carlton colony:$78++, south beach $88++). - The lobster, which was supposed to be the main highlight, was served almost an hour AFTER the start of buffet (everyone was eagerly waiting by then) - some local desserts were cleared/not replenished almost an hour BEFORE the end of buffet - apart from self-dispensed brewed tea and coffee, coffees and teas were additionally chargeable (eg earl grey tea, iced coffees) - these would usually come included in almost any buffet. -limited variety in many aspects - cooked food, salads etc. Again, these were made all the more disappointing considering that the price was easily 20-30% higher than other buffets that easily served twice the variety. Will not come back again.

We visited the restaurant for a lunch buffet. Positives: - the ambience was nice - desserts were beautifully presented Negatives: - oysters were sandy, salty and shriveled up, crayfish / lobster was hard (it was my first time spitting out any kind of shell fish), snow crab was stale tasting - they hardly refilled the seafood station and when they did, the refills were measly so you will have to sit near the station if you wanted to try anything - plates were hardly cleared from the table so we ending up piling used plates at an empty table near us - no fruits station We did not really try the cooked food so no comments on that. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Exemplary service from Ray and Mark! Ray was super attentive and provided colouring materials for my nephew. We were given a seat by the window and had a nice view of Pinnacle @ Duxton. Enjoyed the burrata, prawn biryani, cote de bouef, Iberian pork presa and especially the chicken satay which was so good that we ordered another serving. Picture shows the burrata.

Very slow in replenishing the food. Must pay for coffee dispensed from coffee machine but local tea and coffee were very diluted. Rey and Louis were efficient and friendly.
