Le Charbon is located on the site of a former gasworks in the Louvresses district, an urban regeneration project. Its industrial-inspired décor references this period in the local history of Gennevilliers.

Warm reception, quick support from a waiter, fast service, the menu is simple (little choice) but the dishes are good and well presented and the prices are fair. Restaurant to recommend. I don't give it 5* because it lacks a bit of choice.
Je suis venu avec des aprioris en regardant les commentaires sur Google mais j'ai été bien surpris. Réception chaleureuse, prise en charge rapide par un serveur, service rapide, la carte est simple (peu de choix) mais les plats sont bons et bien présentés et les tarifs sont corrects. Restaurant à recommander. Je ne mets pas 5* car il manque un peu de choix.

3 weeks ago(Translated by Google) One of my worst restaurant experiences in a long time. We came with 6 colleagues for dinner on Tuesday November 19 around 7 p.m. There were certainly a few people in the room.
We sit down and a waiter comes to take our orders after about 15 minutes. He admits to us that he does not know if all the drinks (listed on the menu) exist in the requested format and presents himself as a temporary worker (so far nothing extraordinary even if he could have read the menu before the service).
After 45 minutes of waiting, he came to tell us that the dish chosen by 3 colleagues was in fact no longer available and that we had to choose something else... A long wait followed. After an hour and a half of waiting, 3 colleagues and then a 4th were served: “overcooked”, “not good”.
After almost 2 hours of waiting, we decided to stop there and leave without the last 2 (including me) having seen their dish. I should point out that we only ordered one dish and one drink each (salmon and zero coke in my case, I think they are still fishing for salmon).
We left expressing our dissatisfaction. We were told about the lack of staff, the use of temporary workers who do not know the restaurant, the absence of a manager for the evening service... Note however less of a commercial gesture: we did not pay for the drinks (a free zero coke for a 2 hour wait and no dinner in my case)
Une de mes pires expériences dans un restaurant depuis longtemps. Nous sommes venus avec 6 collègues pour dîner le mardi 19 novembre vers 19h. Il y avait certes un peu de monde en salle.
Nous nous installons et un serveur vient prendre nos commandes au bout de 15 minutes environ. Il nous avoue ne pas savoir si tous les boissons (inscrites au menu) existent au format demandé et se présente comme interimaire (jusque là rien d'extraordinaire même s'il aurait pu prendre connaissance de la carte avant le service).
Au bout de 45 minutes d'attente, il vient nous dire que le plat choisi par 3 collègues n'est en fait plus disponible et qu'il faut choisir autre chose... S'en suit une longue attente. Au bout d'1h30 d'attente, 3 collègues puis un 4eme sont servis : "trop cuit", "pas bon".
Au bout de presque 2 heures d'attente, nous décidons d'arrêter là et de partir sans que les 2 derniers (dont je fais partie) n'aient vu leur plat. Je précise que nous n'avons commandé qu'un plat et une boisson chacun (saumon et coca zéro dans mon cas, je pense qu'ils pêchent encore le saumon).
Nous sommes partis en exprimant notre mécontentement. Nous a été évoqué le manque de personnel, le recours à des intérimaires qui ne connaissent pas le restaurant, l'absence de manager pour le service du soir... A noter néanmoins moins un geste commercial : nous n'avons pas payé les boissons (un coca zéro gratuit pour 2h d'attente et pas de dîner dans mon cas)

Pas à la hauteur sur plusieurs plans. Ça me dérange vraiment de critiquer les honorables personnes du service mais ! Bougez-vous le popotin, vous faites le service d’un restaurant bordel.
De l’attente pour prendre la commande des boissons, de l’attente pour recevoir les boissons, la quantité pas au rendez-vous ( faites un mail à la direction … )

Les plats, 20€ à peine cuit, peu de frites ( industrielle ), c’est le plat du jour donc prévu pour satisfaire.
Résultat, beaucoup trop d’attente et un service à la peine sur beaucoup de points.
Dommage, quand la qualité n’est pas au rendez-vous, c’est souvent le service qui rehausse l’image d’un établissement…
