Romain Castet

Chef Romain started his career as an apprentice at de Partie at Lenôtre, a renowned patisserie in Paris. Romain's career highlights include working alongside celebrity chefs Philippe Joannes, Jean Christophe Jeanson and Amaury Guichon.

    The food was delicious. You should definitely go for the afternoon tea vault. Everything was percfect. Only real shame we couldn’t enjoy wonderful classic music because of the very disturbing customer who was watching TikToks on a full sound. I asked stuff to solve this, didn’t really work, the person turned on sound back in 5mins. Unfortunately couldn’t enjoy this really exceptional experience fully 😓

    Do you love you wife, your daughter and want to make a special experience for a date or a birthday?
    - Come to the Bijou Patisserie at Sofitel Obelix for their afternoon tea.
    This place has won many awards as the best afternoon tea place in Dubai and with good reason. It offers luxury experience worthy of a five-star Michelin feeling. The unlocking of the Le Goûter the Sofitel golden vault and a combination of patisserie making even Tiffany envious. The Sofitel Obelix is a mix of modern French art de vivre and ancient Egyptian heritage making the setting interesting and different from other 5 star hotels.
    I give thanks to the attentive personnel serving us. My tips is to order in advance, have no hurry when having the tea. We spent a good two hours enjoying the party!

    A very special experience at Bijou. We came for an afternoon tea and were overwhelmed with the flair of this place. The staff is wonderful, the food excellent. The hotel itself is the perfect place to stay.
