Named after the Bordeaux railway station and the district around it, Le Saint-Jean serves generous French cuisine. Our bistro-style dishes have that extra spark that comes from using local produce combined with an original take on flavours. Treat yourself to a gourmet break between meetings or before catching your train.
With a contemporary ambiance and a butcher's-style wall mural giving a nod to the history of the Quai de Paludate, the décor of Le Saint-Jean celebrates the rebirth of this lively Bordeaux district.
On our terrace, inspired by stylish Parisian bistros, you can watch travellers at the station come and go. The lounge, with its comfy banquettes, is an ideal spot to recharge your phone and treat yourself to a pastry. Our Paris-Brest, with its caramel coulis and hazelnut ice cream, will definitely cheer you up, even before a long journey.
Train departure approaching? Choose from the midday menu for a quick and delicious lunch. Our menu changes with the seasons, and the only constant is that we always use the best local produce along with top-quality organic vegetables and fruit. Nous avons dîné dans ce restaurant hier soir en rentrant à Bordeaux en TGV. Idéalement placé devant la gare, nous avions peur de la qualité et bien nous n’avons pas été déçu. La déco est très sympa, le service est au top et la qualité des plats est au rendez vous !
Quelle chance, nous reviendrons !

On est arrivé dans ce café avec mon amie.
J’ai commandé une Noisette et elle un chocolat chaud et 2 croissants.
On nous a servis un chocolat froid et un café noir en nous apportant l’addition avant de consommer, on a payé .
Je vais voir la serveuse et lui dit que c’est une noisette que j’ai commandé, elle me dit qu’elle me fait un autre, je dis ok.
Au final elle repasse, me dépose le lait dans une tasse en disant "tiens".
Elle me tutoie et en plus me demande de mettre du lait dans mon café seul, alors qu’elle m’avait informé qu’elle en faisant un autre car ce n’était pas du tout ce que j’avais commandé.
On s’est levé avec mon amie et on n’est parti sur le champ.
On n’était pas les bienvenus.
Bref pas accueillant du tout, peut être parce qu’on n’avait pas la bonne couleur de peau.
