An idyllic chalet in Loudenvielle where you can savour authentic cuisine

  • Mountain dishes and local produce

  • Large terrace with mountain views

  • Gin bar with a fireplace

With its timber interior and views of the mountains, Copains bar and restaurant celebrates the beauty and charm of the Pyrenees: chalet decor, a family ambience and, naturally, a generous menu. Whether on the terrace, near the hearth or by the pool, get together for a drink or a tasty dish made with local produce.

Loudenvielle is a mountain-lover's paradise. You can ski down the Peyragudes pistes, enjoy some paddleboarding or canoeing on Génos lake, or unwind in the natural hot springs of the Balnéa spa complex. In both summer and winter, you're spoilt for choice for activities in the Louron valley. And all of them give you an appetite for a good meal. Nestled in the village centre, Copains offers cuisine that comes from the heart, and from the local area.

From breakfast to dinner, cheese, charcuterie and other Pyrenees produce give flavour to mountain specialities served in individual dishes, portions to share, or buffets. In the mountain foothills, the terrace bordered by the park and pool is a dream spot for breathing in the fresh air while enjoying a barbecue or griddle. For meetings, big family meals or evenings among friends, book our private dining room with a table for 20 people and an unrivalled view of the enchanting scenery. And when it's time for an apéritif, savour our fine wines and gins served at the central bar before a nice chat around the fire.

(Translated by Google) We stayed in the restaurant hotel.
    - the breakfasts were extraordinary: wide variety of choices at the buffet, fresh, local products… we really enjoyed ourselves.
    - one evening we wanted to try the restaurant to improve its Google rating (relatives had eaten there last fall and were very satisfied). We discover the “all-you-can-eat buffet upon arrival” theme. We find the same organization as for breakfasts, but with a very limited choice of main dishes. The grills were over or undercooked (ribs, prawns), and the accompaniments didn't really go with the grills in question (green beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bisque sauce 😳).
The starters: slices of smoked salmon, tuna rillettes on a sheet of sucrine, bulgur salad... it was good, but I don't see the added value of going to eat at the restaurant.
Dessert buffet: special mention to the pastry chef for the blueberry choux (and the breakfast cakes), a great discovery.
We were told that the restaurant switched to buffet mode if it was full.

I'm not sure that this is a good message sent to customers who pay for a €42 formula. It is not enough to line up quality products on a buffet to satisfy your customers. We would have liked more elaborate dishes, without necessarily as much choice or profusion.

(Translated by Google) We wanted to try the restaurant during a dinner since we were staying at the hotel for 1 night. Only one formula was possible with a buffet. formula still at €42 per person, which would not have been a problem with dishes worthy of this price.
This is the restaurant of the four-star Mercure hotel. Nothing is up to par and especially the quality of the cuisine worthy of a canteen. Starter, very poor, like celery, grated carrot, ham or salmon, poor quality smoked and other starters without any cooking effort. A sauce plan of the same level, and a well-cooked fish dish. for the desserts, it looked like they had been made by 10 year old children, see supporting photo. It's a shame for this brand.
