20 hours agoQuality of the food is sub-par compared to other buffet I've tried. For $118++, I think the overall feel isn't premium enough. Don't even have a Live noodle section.
Pls learn from Embu, Beach Road Kitchen and Edge. Won't visit again.

4 days agoMy first visit to Racines for a proper meal, as my previous visits were for breakfast when I did my staycations.
I'd ordered Hokkien Mee, which was pretty flavourful, although I'm not used to the porky smell from roast pork found in this dish.
The desert was good! Freshly baked chocolate cookie with a scoop of ice cream on top. Love that it was served hot.
Staff were attentive to our special requests as we had some food allergies, big thanks to Vincent for walking back and forth just to answer our questions.

4 days agoTried the salt roasted yellow chicken with dang gui from their epicurean Sunday menu - it was very good. Love the butter that comes with the bread basket too.
The service here deserves more than five stars! We always feel welcomed when we visit. Louis and Mark were friendly and attentive and they demonstrated great service recovery when we flagged a minor issue with our dish.
Special shoutout to Wenz - he has a great memory for recognising guests and never fails to give us a warm smile and friendly wave from the 1864 coffee lounge when he spots us heading into Racines.

1 week agoHad an event here. Beautiful atmosphere with decent spread of food varieties. However the food quality can be improve as some dishes are saltire while some are blend. There are more rooms for improvement.
