Racines at Sofitel Singapore City Centre @sofitelsingaporecitycentre has just launched a new menu (from 2 Apr 2025) that brings together the best of French and Asian flavours — think fresh ingredients, light touches, and comforting dishes done with finesse. Here are some highlights I tried: Starters Pan Roasted Foie Gras ($36): Rich, melt-in-your-mouth, with a subtle cognac finish. Five Spice Foie Gras Pate ($30): Smooth, flavourful, and perfect with brioche. Lobster Bisque: A zero-waste twist on the classic — rich, buttery, and comes with half a Boston lobster. Mains Salt-Baked Pineapple-Fed Chicken Leg ($46): Juicy and tender, with a good mix of textures from truffle milk cabbage to cordyceps. Pineapple-Fed Yellow Chicken Supreme ($39): Same premium chicken, but done French-style — slow-cooked, creamy truffle sauce, and buttery mash. Soy Baked Black Cod ($51): Light and balanced with that sweet-savoury glaze. Pan Seared Salmon ($49): Crispy skin, soft center, and goes so well with spinach and a comforting clam-potato ragout. Desserts Cempedak Crème Brûlée ($24): A local twist on the French classic — creamy, fragrant, and hits the spot. Ondeh Ondeh ($25): Pandan, gula melaka, coconut — layered, nostalgic, and crunchy from the biscotti. Apple Tartin ($26): Warm, buttery apple tart with ice cream The à la carte menu is available for lunch (Sun–Fri, 12–3pm) and dinner daily (5:30–10pm). This new menu is worth checking out! Join the lobster buffet, but the replenishing is very slow. IMHO, their oysters and snow crabs are much better than the lobsters. Buffet spread is not very extensive, reasonable if you are paying with Accor Plus (50% off the rate). Doesn't like buffet arrangement that I have to Q due to limited flow / replenishing.

food is not that bad and value for money but was a little slow in the refill for crabs. Some of the fried chicken had the old oil taste . Tom yum soup and laksa could have added some punch. Chilli crab tasted sweet. other than all that, the rest were good. dessert spread was yummy. The free flow wines were pretty good too. will be back again because the ambience makes the dining experience really comfortable and soothing. staff were also prompt in any requests that were asked and cleared empty plates efficiently too.

Iberico Pork Chop - Salted just right with a kick of “hua jiao” in the brown sauce on top of mash potatoes. It’s a 8/10 for us Black cod - we were fans of mikui miso cod before it closed. This is about 70% of that. So 8/10 for us. Laksa - Sorry, this was underwhelming and not worth the penny. 5/10 for the prawns. Mushroom soup - this has cheese ravioli and garlic croutons. 6/10 With love dining is ok-worth it.
