Raffles Courtyard

First time at Raffles Courtyard and it did not disappoint! Our family had a wonderful experience—it’s such a posh and relaxing place. The staff were all very attentive and warm, especially the manager who made sure we were well taken care of. We reserved a table specifically to try the Regional Hawker Showcase featuring Bacolod’s famous Kansi (beef soup). My daughter also ordered the Beef Rendang, and it was very delicious—super flavorful and tender! As for the Kansi, we were excited to try it, especially since my wife is from Bacolod. While the presentation and beef portion were excellent, the flavor was quite different from the traditional version we know. The Raffles version tasted “cleaner,” almost like Nilaga or a Manila-style beef soup, rather than the strong, sour, deeply savory flavor typical of Bacolod’s Kansi. My wife gave it a 6/10 for authenticity—but I’d give it a 9/10 because of the generous beef cuts and tasty broth! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience. Great food, elegant atmosphere, and excellent service. I’d definitely recommend Raffles Courtyard for families looking for a classy but chill dining spot! 😃

Staffs Thamarai, Elynn, Wen Xuan, Suren, Jun Hao, Shangkara & Stanley are very attentive. Elynn, Rai Suren & Wen Cusn take nice photos for me. What impress me is Rai who can reember my name on my second visit to Raffles Courtyard. Foods & ambiance are very excellent. Will be back on the next Regional Hawker Showcase. Well it is probably the biggest beverage ripoff I have ever experienced .... it was a smallish ok cocktail that with tax and service was almost 50 singapore dollars .... If the service had been great or even good like you would expect at a super fancy high-end place like that. I guess it would have been o k but... They are resting on their laurels .... and the peanuts they give you are laughable .... Maybe the smallest hardest and most flavorless peanuts I've ever had in my sixty seven years.... oh well .... I can check it off my list because the singapore sling was one of the first cocktails I ever had as a very young drinker ....
