Long Bar

Had a fab time here, was travelling solo and really wanted to have my first ever Singapore Sling in Singapore! Thank you to John who made me feel super welcome and explained the history of the place, too. Had a lovely time!

I have been to Singapore many times and this is always a must for me. The iconic Long Bar. There is normally a line but it moves quickly. Like stepping back in time to another era. Elegant with the rich, earthy decor. Classic. You don't need to dress up. I don't drink alcohol so I normally have the Teetotaller's Sling. Not sure how it compares to the original but it was nice. It isn't cheap but worth a treat. Difficult to stop eating the peanuts once you start. You are encouraged to brush the peanut shells off the bar and onto the floor. This unique custom dates back to the 1900s! A tradition that continues to this day. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Efficient service. Despite the line, you are not rushed. Most people tend to just have one drink for the experience. A must!

Eventuell auf längere Wartezeiten einstellen denn es gibt keine Reservierung (ausser für Hotelgäste des Raffles). Preise nicht günstig aber die Drinks sind gut (Translated by Google) A must-see in Singapore. Stylish bar in the venerable Raffles Hotel. Friendly and attentive service.
