Vibrant looking spot in JLT, with a live DJ, indoor and outdoor seating, and multiple TV screens. Haven't tried the food, but drinks were relatively affordable with some options on happy hour around the clock. Music was too loud to have a conversation and felt more like a club than a bar. Valet parking available, but don't forget to stamp your ticket on your way out.

We booked my daughter's birthday brunch organized GEN X in UBK. We booked the place for 48 kids which was revenue for Lorna the organiser The theme for my child's party was adopt a pet and we wanted to give out Gold fish which Lorna refused even though UBK emphasizes its a pet friendly place. But Lorna was adamant so we agreed to her terms. I wasn't informed by Lorna that kids with siblings aren't allowed as we invited friends and family and I had told her that we will have 5 kids of age 6 with siblings and she agreed. At the party she denied entrance because they were age 4 with parents on stand by & siblings to handle them as they are family. This was my daughter's party which I paid but kids had to sit with adults in the pub where people were smoking & drinking alcohol. - UBK is this legal? We were not given any menu options by her inspite of her assuring she will send. Lorna ASSURED I will be given EXCLUSIVE access to an area of the venue due to our large group as she decided to book 2 more parties during our party and we could do up our section with balloons and a lady to do glitter for our 48 kids. During the party Lorna changed everything denied me access to my child's party! The kids from other 2 parties approx 17 kids were in my child's section with Lorna's permission getting their glitter done at my expense - they were playing throughout in my child's section even though my daughter pointed this out but Lorna told her to enjoy the party instead! - one of the kids has a tooth fall out but Lorna told the child if she leaves she can't enter back and I was not allowed to do anything. I kept calm seeing all this assuming its a big crowd and she's over whelmed. However closer to time a few kids had to leave and they needed their party bags for which I had to hand them out and Lorna refused to let me or my nanny enter and just picked up random bags and gave them inspite of us telling her we had different bags for kids. Finally she allowed my nanny and still not me even though I had 48 kids and I was responsible for them. I had to ensure the kids leaving early went with their guardian and Lorna yelled at me in front of the staff and kids asking me to leave or she will call security - I had paid for this party with no access and now was getting yelled at!! I told her I was done with this and she can't shout for which I was threatened by her that she will shut my party down! I told her to refund us if this is how we were treated! We were finally allowed to get in to cut the cake and asked to leave even though the last 30 mins of the party was told to us would be accessible. When I entered the party at closing all our party bags were gone and my daughter was very upset as Lorna had got kids to randomly take bags from the other party as well. This wasnt enough and many parents who came to the party were asked to leave who were very upset with her attitude and we had to wait at the stairs outside till other parents came in which was very difficult to control the kids. Lorna and her constant change of words and mood swings and temper issues is uncontrollable - this isn't safe for any child to be brought into this place with her presence or GEN X! With such terrible service Dubai Consumer Courts needs to intervene and take action as this isn't how people should be treated for trusting a place for their celebrations and after paying a lot! In addition to how we know other kids were allowed in our section is by Lorna posting stories on the GEN X page and when they realized we saw them they blocked us. Well we had taken screenshots so too late Lorna! I have the photos which can be shown as the kids from other parties were using our services at my expense and our party bags! I need to UBK to take appropriate action as we will surely complain to Dubai Consumer Courts with all the above if we aren't getting an answer from UBK! This is their venue being mishandled this way isn't acceptable
