Long-established in the centre of Tours, our lively restaurant welcomes local residents and visitors alike for a gastronomic journey through the terroir of Touraine. The décor by Sébastien d'Evry will draw your attention as soon as you step into our restaurant; look at the exquisite detail in the depiction of the Château de Chenonceau, and admire the birds taking flight from reeds lining the River Cher. Wickerwork lampshades and a soaring wicker canopy over the bar pay homage to traditional artistry fine local craftsmanship is evident wherever you look. French classics accompanied by tasty homemade sauces feature on our menu, sharing the spotlight with the best of regional produce. We cook with tomatoes from the Conservatoire National de la Bourdaisière and pikeperch from the Loire, along with tangy Sainte-Maure de Touraine and other regional cheeses. Vegetarians and vegans will find plenty here to please them as well. As far as drinks go, try our vin d'épine (a Loire aperitif made from rosé and young blackthorn shoots), Montlouis or Vouvray wines all exquisite introductions to the flavours of the Loire Valley.
