Chef de Cuisine Jordan Keao

Having worked in top restaurants across the United States' diverse culinary landscape, Jordan Keao brings with him close to two decades of culinary experience. Born and raised in Hawaii, where cooking, fishing, hunting and farming are a part of everyday life, his passion for wood-fire cooking was sparked by his childhood years in the kitchen, where he built fires and helped his mother prepare dishes for dinner. A former restauranteur himself, Jordan previously created Aina in San Francisco as a modern Hawaiian pop-up, and contributed to its evolution into an award-winning full service establishment that has been featured in international media such as the New York Times and Michelin's Bib Gourmand guide.

Absolutely stellar experience at Butcher’s Block! From concept to execution, every detail is meticulously crafted, showcasing consistency and excellence. The food is simply off the charts – each dish in our set menu was a culinary masterpiece. The service exceeded all expectations; the team was incredibly accommodating and patient, even when we were the last to leave due to a payment incident. To top it off, the staff surprised us with a beautiful birthday treat, making the evening even more memorable. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Dined at the butcher’s block today and this place really lives up to its name because we really got butchered. Staff served bread at the start of the meal and we were under the impression that it’s included in our set, or complimentary as with most restaurants. However, we were charged $10 for just bread. Also towards end of the meal we were asked if we wanted coffee and it cost us $14 each which was way above ‘usual’ standard prices. Price was not highlighted to us either. Horrible service
