If I could give more stars I would. From the moment we stepped out of the lift we were taken care of. The staff were kind and made us feel very at home. The service was just outstanding. As was the view, the drinks, and of course the food. I had high expectations but I was completely blown away with the experience we had at JAAN. The epitomy of excellence.

Perhaps my least favorite two star restaurant thus far due to my personal preferences. They served the safest, least adventurous British food that only came in two textures: mush or paper-thin crisp. It took “melt in your mouth” way too far to the point of monotony. The dishes were good individually but terrible strung together as a tasting menu. As a highly textural eater, I was just waiting for the meal to be over. The only dishes with texture were the crusty bread and the side salad that came with the lamb—I almost screamed for joy biting into the radicchio. JAAN is by no means a bad restaurant. There was not a single bad bite—the foie gras mousse and mini lamb pie were stellar. It’s the perfect restaurant for someone with a Midwestern palate. I know of some friends who would love JAAN but would hate my favorite restaurants. Just know your own preferences before deciding. Service was overall good but felt really stuffy, old-fashioned fine dining that’s the opposite of my preference. Glasses sat empty for far too long. And I’m sorry, but there needs to be a no-perfume rule for FOH, or at least limit it to something non-diffusive. I don’t want to sniff woody ambers as I’m taking a bite of my food. The dining room and the bird’s eye view of the city were simply stunning.

I had a wonderful lunch at JAAN by Kirk Westaway in Singapore. The interior design is elegant, modern, and timeless — a style that never fails to impress me every time I return. The atmosphere, paired with the breathtaking views, creates a truly special dining experience. The set menu was beautifully presented, with each dish looking like a piece of art and tasting just as exquisite. Every course was delicate, flavorful, and crafted with great precision. The service was outstanding — warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even more memorable. I’m always looking forward to my next visit here.
